On November 13-14, Moscow hosted the XVIII All-Russian Congress of Nutriciologists and Nutritionists with international participation "Nutriciology and Dietetics for the Health of the Russian Population", dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Within two days, the participants discussed the most important issues of dietetics, public nutrition, food safety, and nutritionology.
During the symposium "NEW AND ALTERNATIVE FOOD SOURCES: NATIONAL AND WORLD EXPERIENCE" the report on "Innovative food products produced by microbial synthesis" was made by the General Director of "GIPROBIOSINTEZ" P.A. Nyunkov, Deputy General Director for scientific work E.S. Babusenko.
It was emphasized in the report that today our company is the only company in Russia that owns the technology of producing a feed additive for farm animals, aquaculture, etc. on the basis of methane-oxidizing bacteria of the Methylococcus family and has received a certificate from Rosselkhoznadzor. In addition, the company is conducting research work on obtaining a food ingredient (protein) from the biomass of methane-oxidizing bacteria. The first batches of food products obtained on the basis of microbial synthesis have undergone complex medical and biological research in ederal State Scientific Institution “Federal Research Centre of Nutrition, Biotechnology and Food Safety”. The obtained conclusion testifies to the promising use of food protein obtained from the cells of methane-oxidizing bacteria Methylococcus capsulatus GBS-15.
