The Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology has published a new GOST R 71301-2024 Biotechnology. Protein feed additive based on methanoxylating bacteria (haprin).
The initiators and developers of the national standard are the Association "Technological Platform BioTech2030" (Association "TP BioTech2030") together with the Federal State Institution "Federal Research Center "Fundamental Bases of Biotechnology" of the Russian Academy of Sciences" (FRC Biotechnology RAS) and Limited Liability Company "GIPROBIOSYNTEZ" (LLC "GIPROBIOSYNTEZ").
The document was approved and put into effect by the Order of the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology of March 19, 2024 № 325-st. It standardizes the requirements for feed protein supplement based on methane-oxidizing bacteria and will contribute to the formation of a new promising industry.
